Setup - Projector¶

The EZCast Pro Dongle II is perfectly suited for projectors. To optimize the performance of your EZCast Pro device, please review our setup recommendations:

Power Supply (5V/1.5A)¶

• For power supply, connect the included USB-C charging cable to a USB charging port that provides minimum 7.5W (5V/1.5A). Then connect the USB-C charging cable to the EZCast Pro Dongle II. If your display doesn't have a USB charging port or you're unsure whether the USB port supports the minimum current, a USB power adapter (5V/2A) can be ordered from us:

Recommended Setups¶

The best setup for you depends on whether: a) the projector has a USB charging port that provides minimum 7.5W (5V/1.5A), b) there are one or two power outlets available near the projector. We recommend the following three setups:

2x Power Outlets | USB Power Adapter (5V/2A)¶

• There are two power outlets available near the projector
• The EZCast Pro Dongle II is powered by a USB power adapter (5V/2A). This adapter can be purchased from us if needed
• The included HDMI extension cable is connected

1x Power Outlet | Splitter Adapter | USB Power Adapter (5V/2A)¶

• Only one power outlet is available near the projector
• A Y Type Splitter Adapter provides a European socket for the USB power adapter and a power cable for the projector. This splitter adapter can be purchased from us if needed
• The EZCast Pro Dongle II is powered by a USB power adapter (5V/2A). This adapter can be purchased from us if needed
• The included HDMI extension cable is connected

1x Power Outlet | Projector USB Charging Port (5V/2A)¶

• Only one power outlet is available near the projector
• The EZCast Pro Dongle II is powered by the projector's USB charging port
• The included HDMI extension cable is connected

Projector with VGA Port¶

Does your display or projector not have an HDMI port but only a VGA connection? With this HDMI to VGA Adapter, you can use the EZCast Pro Dongle II with older display devices.

For stable signal transmission and audio playback, connect a micro-USB power supply. Audio is transmitted via a 3.5mm audio cable.

Incorrect Setups¶

Insufficient Power from USB Port¶

While it may seem intuitive to power the stick through any available USB port on the projector, caution is required. Without sufficient power supply through the connected USB-A port (minimum 5V/1.5A), the stick may turn on but will experience interruptions. If your display doesn't have a USB charging port or you're unsure about the port's power output, please use a USB power adapter (5V/2A):

HDMI Extension Not Connected¶

• While the power supply may be correct, if the HDMI extension is not connected, the WiFi signal strength of the EZCast Pro Dongle II may be weaker.
