Quick Start Guide

Setup

  • Connect the EZCast Pro Dongle II to the HDMI input of your display device. For power supply, connect the included USB C charging cable to a USB charging port that provides minimum 7.5W (5V/1.5A):

When setting up the EZCast Pro Dongle II in a room, please check the recommended requirements:

  • Maximum 10 meters distance from the Stick to the Access Point and from the Stick to the end devices. During setup, please check the signal strength. Between -40 dBm and -50 dBm is optimal.
  • A so-called line of sight from the Stick to the Access Point and to the end devices with as few obstacles as possible. Avoid objects directly next to the EZCast Pro Dongle II that absorb or reflect WiFi signals, such as: walls, metal surfaces, reflective surfaces, and other electronic devices, etc.

Android and iOS

With EZCast Pro, you have two options:

a) Without App. Simple Screen Mirroring

If you only want to quickly mirror your screen, you can start immediately using the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) principle by using your device's built-in screen mirroring function. This means you don't even need to download an app!

b) Advanced Features. EZCast Pro App

Install the App

Using the free EZCastPro app offers both the presenter and other participants of a presentation various advanced control options and transmission functions that are otherwise not possible with a device's built-in mirroring function.

Search for the EZCast Pro app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install it from there:

Connect the App to EZCast Pro

  • If you have properly connected the EZCast Pro Dongle II, the following homepage will appear on the screen. Connect your iOS or Android device to the SSID of the EZCast Pro II device. The login details are displayed at the top of the homepage:

  • Open the EZCastPro app on your device.

  • Search for the EZCast Pro device using the button at the top right:

  • Select your EZCast Pro Dongle II, then you will find all options for displaying your content in the app:

Windows and macOS

With EZCast Pro, you have two options:

a) Without Software. Simple Screen Mirroring

Install the Software

Please download the software for Windows or macOS and install it. For Windows, Microsoft Visual C++ (32-bit) is additionally required.

Connect the Software to the EZCast Pro Dongle

  • Connect your notebook to the SSID displayed at the top of the screen. The password is also displayed by default.

  • Open the EZCastPro software on your device:

  • Select the EZCast Pro Dongle II as shown below:

  • To mirror your Windows/macOS device, select Mirror:

  • If you select the Extend button, the desktop of your Windows/macOS device will be extended.
