Reinstall Firmware¶
You can restore the EZCast Pro Box II by reinstalling the firmware. There are several reasons for this:

The EZCast Pro Box II does not power on. The power supply has already been checked. In this case, an interrupted update process may be the cause.

The EZCast Pro Box II is unstable and a reset did not help.

You have the choice: either install the latest firmware or a different firmware version.
Install Firmware via USB Cable¶
Caution
Reinstalling the firmware will reset all settings.
Requirements¶

You need a Windows PC to load the firmware software onto the EZCast Pro Box II.

The EZCast Pro Box II must be connected to the Windows PC using a USB data cable A/A or A/C.
Identify Model B10/B11¶
First, check the model number of the device. On the back, it either says B10
or B11
.
Install B10 Repair Tool¶

Download the EZCast Pro Box II (B10) Repair Tool.

Extract the file EZCastPro.B10.Repair.Tool.zip.
- Install the drivers by running the batch file
EZCast_Pro_Repair_Tool\usb_driver\install.bat
as administrator.
- When the following security message appears, select "Install":
Connect USB Cable¶
Caution
Initially, the USB cable is connected to the USB-A port of the box only. The box is turned off. Connect the other end of the cable to your PC afterward.
- To set the EZCast Pro Box II to update mode, turn off the device using the power button. Using a small "pen," hold down the reset button. Turn on the device using the power button, then release the reset button.
- Now connect the USB cable to the USB-A port of the box and to a USB port of your Windows PC.
If the driver is correctly installed and the EZCast Pro Box II is connected, the device “Realtek generic USB Device” should appear in the device manager. If not, check the driver installation, cable configuration, and update mode as described in the previous step.
Install Latest Firmware¶
- In the folder
EZCast_Pro_Repair_Tool
, run the file EZCastUpdate.exe.
The following window will appear. If the EZCast Pro Box II is in update mode, the tool will display “EZCast device connected.”
- Select
Download
to download the latest firmware.
The firmware will begin downloading.
Caution
Do not interrupt power during the update.
- To start the firmware installation, select
Upgrade
.
The firmware will be installed.
If the installation was successful, the following message will appear:
The EZCast Pro Box II is ready for use again.
Install Other Firmware¶
To install a previous or beta firmware version, download one of the following files:

, run the file Update_for_localfile.exe.
The following window appears. If the EZCast Pro Box II is in update mode, the tool will display “EZCast device connected.”
- Use the
Firmware
button to select the desired firmware file.
- To start the firmware installation, select
Upgrade
.
The firmware will be installed.
If the installation was successful, the following message will appear:
The EZCast Pro Box II is ready for use again.
Caution
Reinstalling the firmware will restore the factory settings of the device. After reinstallation, please check our recommended settings.
Install B11 Repair Tool¶

Download the EZCast Pro Box II (B11) Repair Tool.

Extract the file EZCastPro.B11.Repair.Tool.zip.
- Install the drivers by running the batch file
EZCast_Pro_Repair_Tool\usb_driver\install.bat
as administrator.
- When the following security message appears, select "Install":

Install Firmware with CMS¶
Using the CMS (Central Management System), you can not only install the current firmware from the Internet on multiple EZCast Pro II or QuattroPod devices, but also a previous or beta firmware version.

Download a firmware for the EZCast Pro Box II.

Select the desired devices, then click the
Remote
button -> and theDevice Firmware upgrade
function.
- Under the
FILE
tab, click theFile
button and select the firmware file you downloaded in the first step.
The new firmware will be downloaded and installed automatically.
Caution
Do not interrupt the power supply during the update.
Settings after Reinstallation¶
